WTW BW-18 Boiler Treatment
General Information: BW-18
reacts with the oxygen found in feed water to form a chemical compound, thus
tying up free oxygen. By
deactivating free oxygen, BW-18 prevents the localized oxygen-induced corrosion
known as oxygen pitting. BW-18
contains polymers to provide sludge conditioning as well.
Usage Information: BW-18 meets the
requirements of the F.D.A. as set forth in CFR Title 21, Part 173, Subpart D,
Section 173.310 and is U.S.D.A. G-6 authorized.
Injection/Feeding: BW-18 should be fed continuously by an automated system proportionate to
boiler feedwater. BW-18 is compatible with the other components used in a
complete water treatment program.
