General Information: Steam boiler
treatment includes chemical materials which prevent deposits,
scavenger oxygen, reduce corrosion, and under proper conditions
gradually clean treated boilers. The products can be provided as
individual components for maximum flexibility in the program, or
as combined formulations for ease of handling. WTW products
represent common and accepted components and formulations.
BW-10
Boiler Treatment is a dry phosphate based
product, normally used where makeup water is softened
and boiler PSIG is 100 or greater. This product is USDA
G6 approved.

CONTROL FOR COOLING TOWER APPLICATIONS

Industrial Bacteriostat is an Aldehyde Release
product which is gaining use in cooling tower
applications. At recommended dosage the product is
non-corrosive and non-oxidizing. It is compatible with
all tower treatment inhibitor products supplied by WTW.

COOLING
TOWER SCALE AND CORROSION CONTROL
General Information:
Although the name "cooling tower treatment" is
familiar, we could better call these products "heat
exchanger treatment." WTW products are formulated to
provide scale and corrosion control in a wide range of field
conditions and especially at the heat exchange area where
efficiency is gained or lost. WTW cooling tower products are
formulated based on:

Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor is designed for
systems using makeup water of moderate hardness and
alkalinity, and discharging to a city sewer or other
treatment plant. It is controlled by a molybdate test
which provides easy and accurate control readings. This
product is USDA G7.

Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor is designed for
systems using makeup water of high hardness and
alkalinity and discharging to a city sewer or other
water treatment plant. It is controlled by a molybdate

designed for start up operation of cooling systems where
a new galvanized metal cooling tower is being placed
into service. This product meets typical sewer discharge
parameters and all but the most stringent direct outfall
parameters. It is controlled by a molybdate test which
provides easy and accurate control readings. CW-38 can
also be used to provide scale and corrosion inhibition
on an ongoing basis in systems where the makeup water
hardness and alkalinity vary widely, including soft
water makeup.
